Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeBaptiste Funeral Homes, Inc. - West Chester on Jan. 2, 2025.
Frances B. Miller, endearingly called Boots, passed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 78. Residing in the home of her eldest daughter, in Phoenix AZ, she was surrounded by love at the time of her passing. Frances was born of Nathaniel Hordge Sr. and Judia Rose Moore on February 2, 1946 in Clifton Forge, VA.
Frances was a well-travelled military wife and widow of Paul London Miller who served in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed the people and their cultures where they resided throughout the years. Frances often shared memorable moments of their travels to Crete, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and throughout the United States.
Frances pursued her passion as a hairstylist and obtained her certification through Gordon Phillips in 1982. As a licensed cosmetologist, she had an excellent reputation for her work in Arizona, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. She gained many friendships along the way. She very much enjoyed making memories with family and friends by hosting special events and social gatherings. After retirement in 2008, she was blessed to, once again, do more of what she truly loved most which was travelling. She and her Sister-Friend, Donna Cole of Texas, enjoyed many travelling adventures together in Germany, Seoul, Korea, France and Thailand.
