Francia Brand Obituary

Francia Margarita Brand, 71, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to the late Manuel Enrique DeJesus and Juana Brand, Francia came to Lawrence in 1973 and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1977. She had worked for American Training for some 30 years and retired in 202 during the Covid Pandemic. Francia loved to cook and would make 2 big turkeys for Thanksgiving at American Training. She also loved to dress up in different costumes and was known for making people smile and feel welcome.
Francia is survived by her long-term partner Benjamin Cruz, her stepson Donnie Cruz, her daughters Elizaida Cruz and Vanety Cruz as well as her grandson Mallory Mardi. She is also survived by a large extended family of many siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Dominican Republic.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence. A committal service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:15 A.M. in Saint Mary's Cemetery, also in Lawrence.
