Georgie Rea Hutson, age 87, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025. She was born in Gorman, Texas, on November 1, 1937, to Sullivan and Ina Mauney.
Georgie was married to the late Lewis Franklin Hutson in 1953. They shared a loving marriage until his passing in 1995. Together, they raised four children: Lewis Hutson (wife Shirli), Cheryl Beck (husband Larry), Karen Renfro (husband Steve), and Terry Hutson.
Georgie's family grew to include 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all of whom brought her great joy and pride.
She was known for her deep love for her family, her unwavering faith, and her warm, caring nature. Georgie will be remembered as a kind and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who touched the lives of everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis Franklin Hutson and granddaughter, Brandi Nash.
Georgie's legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens of The Valley, in Weatherford, Texas on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Flowers may be sent to Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas.
