Geraldine Hileman- McVay Obituary

Geraldine Anne "Jerry" Hileman McVay, 88, of Rockwall, TX was born on November 9, 1936, in Jefferson, TX to Hershal and Claire Hileman. She passed away on December 14, 2024, in Longview, TX surrounded by family after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease. Jerry married her sweetheart, Jack McVay, on February 8, 1958. She was valedictorian of the Jefferson High School class of 1954, graduated from East Texas State College, and spent most of her career as a guidance counselor at Lake Highlands High School. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Jim Hileman, Paul Hileman and wife, Laura, and Harry H. Hileman, Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall. Private entombment will take place in Restland Memorial Park Mausoleum. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
