Geraldine Kuhn Obituary

Geraldine M. Kuhn, 88, of Berne, IN, passed away at 1:45 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Woodcrest of Decatur in Decatur, IN. She was born on Thursday, January 30, 1936, in Geneva, IN. She married Gilly J. Kuhn on Friday, February 27, 1953 in Jefferson Twp. Adams Co. Geraldine attended Jefferson High School. She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Berne, IN. Geraldine had been manager at the Indiana Bureau of vehicles in Berne, Bluffton, Geneva, and Portland. She taught Sunday school for over 60 years. Geraldine enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.
She will be forever missed by her Sons - Thomas J. (Karen) Kuhn, Geneva, IN, and Donald E. (Gail) Kuhn, Berne, IN, Daughter - Cynthia Sue (Randy) Reynolds, Geneva, IN, Brother - Richard E. (Karen) Smitley, Fort Wayne, IN, Sister - Karen Sue (Laverne) Hartman, Berne, IN, Brother - Jay (Maribeth) Smitley, Berne, IN, Sister-in-laws - Madeline Smitley, Fort Wayne, IN, Norma Smitley, Dunkirk, IN, Carol (Orla) Kuhn, Bluffton, IN, and Melody Bigler, Greenfield, IN, 5 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband - Gilly J. Kuhn, Father - Cecil Emerson Smitley, Mother - Ethel Mae (Hunt) Smitley, Sister - Anna Bollenbacher, and Brothers - Ronnie Smitley and William "Bill" Smitley.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N. Washington St. Geneva, IN. 46740 on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
A service to celebrate her life will follow at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Henry Schaadt officiating. Interment will follow in the Daugherty Cemetery in Geneva.
Preferred memorials can be made to the Calvary Bible Church and C&C
