Getta Harper Obituary

Funeral services for Getta "Tot" Harper, 78, of Eros, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Wally Reitzell and Rev. Ricky Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Eros under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, November 11, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Eros.
Tot was born on March 25, 1946 in Chatham and passed away on November 9, 2024 in Monroe. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Tot retired from the Louisiana Forestry Commission after 30 years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed tending to her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.J. Willhite, Sr. and Vera Bailey Willhite; brother, E.J. Willhite, Jr.
Tot is survived by her husband, Eugene Harper; two sons, Tim Harper and wife Coritha, Kenneth Harper; grandchildren, Zach Harper, Haley Ann Dopson and husband Logan, Birdie Violet Harper, Kenneth Leo Harper; great granddaughter, Vivien Harper; two sisters, Doris Mott, Sarah Ward and husband Jerry; several nieces, nephews and other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Zach Harper, Logan Dopson, Troy Blundell, Danny Peel, David Culpepper, and Gerald Mott.
The family of Tot would like to give a special thank you to Brandi Taylor, Nikki Robertson, The Gardens at Georgia Tucker, Louisiana Hospice and Dr. Kerry Anders for their care during her illness and this difficult time in our lives.
