George Walter Obituary
George worked for Xerox Corp. until 1979 moving to Florida to join his brother-in-law in co-owning Gulf Breeze Landscaping in Englewood, Florida. He also served in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard in New York State.
He was a member of the Kiwanis, Elks, Moose, QB's, Venice Yacht Club and drummer for the Dixie Spirit Jazz Band. George enjoyed boating and flying his Cessna 182. He was a workaholic but always ready for a good time.
George is survived by his wife, Pat; two sons, Christopher and his wife, Carolyn, Sean and his wife, Spring; He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Hailee and Stone; three sisters, Beverly, Colette, Karen and her husband Ed and a brother, Dick and his wife, Jan. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank, his mother, Emma and his sister, Larona
A Memorial gathering will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 1:00PM-2:00PM with the service to follow.
