Harold Bough, 85, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at Grand Valley Health and Rehab.
He was born Thursday, August 3, 1939 to the late Henry and Nellie (Dove) Bough in Bloomfield, Indiana.
Harold was a 1957 graduate of Bloomfield High School. He moved to Martinsville in 1958 where he met and later married Ermallee (LaFary) August 31, 1962, they shared 42 years together before she passed on October 16, 2004. He retired from Allison Transmission after 28 years of service. After retiring from Allison's, he went to work for the MSD of Martinsville. Harold loved the outdoors, gardening, mowing grass and sports.
He often reminisced about his younger days growing up on the farm and hunting in Scottland, IN. Most of all he enjoyed going on vacation and spending time with his family.
Harold is survived by children, Debbie (Bruce) Hayden, Jeff (Angie) Bough; grandchildren Amber (Tommy) Arthur, Adam and Andon Hayden, Chloe, Emmallee and Ezra Bough; great grandchildren Clay, Claire Arthur.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife Ermallee, parents, Henry and Nellie; brothers, Otis and Raymond Bough; sister, Betty Minks; granddaughter Allison Hayden.
Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Friday with Rev. Gary LaFary officiating.
In Lieu of flowers please consider making a charitable donation to an organization that will help in finding cures for diseases that have impacted Harold's life (American Cancer Society, Dementia Society of America, Riley Children's Hospital)
