St. Martinville - Hazel Marie Thibodeaux, 100, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home in St. Martinville.
Hazel was born in Breaux Bridge, but was a long-time resident of St. Martinville. She worked for many years at Bienvenu Brothers and ultimately retired from Durand Insurance, where she was a secretary. In her spare time, Hazel loved to play cards and complete crossword puzzles, and her favorite show to watch was "Let's Make A Deal".
Hazel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alexis and Eunice Barras Thibodeaux; brothers, Marshall Thibodeaux, Wilton "Zorro" Thibodeaux, and Lloyd Thibodeaux; sisters, Loula Lasseigne and Emily Guidry; and her nephews, Chester Guidry and Dirk Thibodeaux.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
