Heather Hewett Obituary

I worked with Heather at Rohm&Haas and she was an exceptionally gifted engineer. We became friends more than coworkers.
She probably saved many lives because of a mistake she found in the calculation of the amout of toluene we were releasing in our unit.
Because of her courage she reported it and there was a pollution control device put in place that cut emissions to near zero.

Heather was a bright young engineer that I had the pleasure of working with at Rohm and Haas. Her commitment to listen to the workers and provide what they truly needed to do their jobs well, was evident in the numbers of friends she made while there. A sharp mind gone way to soon.
