Mr. Herbert Lee Stout, 88, of Snyder, TX, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at his home in Snyder. A funeral service for Mr. Stout will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Stout was born on August 11, 1936, to Claude and Bertha (Payton) Stout in Bounds, TX. Herbert married Ruby Grimmett on April 12, 1956 in Blossom, TX. He worked for Universal Pool for 33 years, and as a Snyder ISD custodian for about 11 years. He was also a lawn mower repair man for many years. One of his favorite things was driving around in his 1971 red/orange Chevrolet pick-up. He loved to tinker with things, and to work on his own vehicles. He enjoyed dove hunting when he was younger, and throughout his life he enjoyed camping. Hw was well known for his quick wit.

Jeremy Stout of Lockeford, CA,
Jessica and Seth Cypert of Stanton, TX,
Shae Kraft of Lubbock, TX;
4 Step-Grandchildren,
Jason and Sammie Culbertson of Sonora, CA,
Kevin and Elizabeth Culbertson of Lodi, CA,
Jennifer and Mike Verdon of Lodi, CA,
Kathryn and Justin Gillet of Lockeford, CA;
and many Great-Grandchildren, Step-Great-Grandchildren, and Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
Parents,
Claude and Bertha Stout;
1 Sister,
Ruby Hedrick;
and 1 Brother,
Harvey Stout.
Thank you to West Texas (Cogdell) Home Health & Hospice nurses and staff, especially Tyra, April, Teressia, Priscilla, Rachel, and Kinney, and Scurry County EMS, and to Nona Williams and Barbara McGee for the Sunday morning doughnuts.
A visitation for Mr. Stout will be held 6-7 PM Friday, September 6, 2024, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
