Hewey Boyd Obituary

Mr. Hewey Deen Boyd age 86, of Willacoochee, Ga. passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Vista Park in Douglas, Ga. following an extended illness.

A native of Nashville, Ga., Mr. Boyd was born January 21, l938, to the late William Aden and Lovey Louise Bellflower Boyd. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life and enjoyed gardening, horse riding, fishing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, William Michael Boyd, 3 brothers, Carlos Boyd, Talmadge Boyd and Robert Boyd, 3 sisters, Mildred Wortham, Arlene Franks and Lillian Holly.

Survivors include:

Wife: Lyvonne Paulk Boyd of Willacoochee, Ga.

Son: Gregory H. Boyd and wife Hannah of Angier, N. C. 

Daughter: Cynthia Pettis and husband Jeffrey of Willacoochee, Ga.

2 Sisters: Eloise Hughes and husband George of Nashville, Ga.

                Wylene Harper of Nashville, Ga.

Grandchildren: Sherry Bailey and husband Rhett, Cathy Young and husband Jason, Elizabeth Boyd, and Gregory Boyd.

Great Grandchildren: Luke Cravey, Cadence Cravey, Faith Young, River Bailey and Lauren Boyd.

Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Memorization is by cremation.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
