Howard Marshall Obituary

Howard Sylvester Marshall, Jr. was born on March 26, 1958, in Quincy, Florida to Ezella Husband and the late Howard Sylvester Marshall, Sr.

Howard was educated in the Gadsden County Public School System and graduated from James A. Shanks High School. After graduating from high school, he moved to Springfield, Massachusetts where he met and married Tracy Glasgow. He then moved to Detroit, Michigan and worked at Detroit Motor Company, and then back to Massachusetts and worked at United Technology in Connecticut.

After high school, Howard enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served, demonstrating courage, discipline, and unwavering commitment to his fellow servicemen and his country. Whether stationed at sea or on land, he carried with him a deep sense of duty and pride that never wavered. Even after his military service, those same values helped shaped his life, making him a source of strength, wisdom, and kindness to all who knew him.

Beyond his service, Howard found immense joy in painting. With a brush in hand, he could bring life to any canvas, capturing the beauty of the world as he saw it. Whether it was a peaceful ocean reminiscent of his Navy days, a serene landscape, or a simple home bathed in warm colors. His artwork reflected the beauty he saw in the world. Painting was his refuge, his passion, and a gift he generously shared with family and friends.

Howard is survived by his: son - Ranicky Marshall (Sydni) of Tampa, Florida; mother - Ezella Husband of Quincy, Florida; granddaughter – Tanya Ezella Marshall; sister-in-law - Sherry Glasgow; aunts - Rosie Harris and Jeannette Marshall, uncle - Tom David Marshall; special cousin – Willie Rivers; long-time friend – Shirley Ann Walker; best friend - Jerome Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
