Ingrid Silvian Obituary

INGRID L. SILVIAN, age 95, born in Solingen, Germany, passed away surrounded by family at her residence in Groveport, on Thursday, February 13, 2025.. Preceded in death by husband Sidney Silvian, Ingrid is survived by her three daughters, Stevie Lauterjung, Monica Gleeson, and Deborah Gleeson; grandson, Max Stevens.
Ingrid retired from Elder Focus on North Central Mental Health Services in 1996 to be a caregiver for her husband, and remained a strong advocate for mental health with various agencies throughout those years, for which she won numerous awards and recognitions. She was a past prersident and founding member of NAMI Franklin County (National Alliance for Mental Illness), a board member of AARP, Chapter 252, the BREAD organization, and a life-long member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church.
In 2014 Ingrid published a childen's book on growing up in Hitler's Germany, which won numerous awards. Ingrid was a freelance writer, liked reading, writing, traveling, and gardening.
