J.C. Hobby Obituary
He was born June 4th, 1937, in Marshall County, to the late Jimmie C. and Elaine Wilson Hobby. He was a Farmer and a member of the Wilson Hill Church of Christ and was a former elder of Mooresville Church of Christ. He served in the Tennessee National Guard, and loved farming, family and church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta Briggs Hobby in 2013, a brother, William Leonard Hobby and a granddaughter, Mary Beth Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Short Lowrance Hobby of Cornersville, two daughters, Cynda Hobby (Barry) Hooten of Lewisburg, and Linda Kay Hobby of the Mooresville Community, three grandchildren, Jamie Chapman, Clay Nunley, and Alania Tatum and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15th, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at 1:30 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee, with burial to follow in Bryant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
