Mr. Jack Jackson Jewell, Sr., 72, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA following a long illness.
Mr. Jewell was born October 15, 1951 in Homerville, GA to the late Levy Jewell and Mary Beckham Jewell. He had worked at Brockway Standard for many years as a fork lift driver. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one sister: Mary Estelle Jewell Propes.
Survivors are his wife: Dorene Pittman Jewell, DuPont; two daughters: Martha Jewell and Marie Alexander (Ron), both of DuPont; two sons: Jack Jewell, Jr, DuPont and Levy Jewell (Brandi), Stockton; one sister: Willie Nell Martin (Ricky); Waycross, two brothers: Robert Jewell, DuPont and Preston Jewell, Waycross; six grandchildren: Jessica Davis, Samuel Jewell, Marlana Jewell, Evan Alexander, Jack Jewell, III and Cody Jewell; two great grandchildren: Karson Brockington and Korbin Jewell, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Jewell will be held Monday, October, 14, 2024 at eleven a.m. in the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Pittman officiating. Burial will be in the North Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
