Ronnie Lee Painter, 72, of Bono passed from this life on Monday September 22, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1953 in Jonesboro to the late Charles “Ed” Painter and Leona Painter.

Ronnie has lived in the Jonesboro area most of his life and was a graduate of Jonesboro High School. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loved those Sunday afternoons and also loved those early morning fishing trips. His one-of-a-kind laugh was as unforgettable as the love he gave. He was the heart of our family, loving beyond measure, strong beyond words and example we will forever strive to follow. In the eyes of his grandkids, he wasn’t just a grandfather, he was their precious Papaw, when they would walk through the door, his eyes lit up.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by a son, Philip Painter and a brother, Charles Painter.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Painter; son, Toby (Anna) Painter; daughter, Rachel (Brian) Beach and daughter-in-law, Stephanie Painter; grandsons, Dylan (Brianna) Painter, Tanner (Erin) Beach, Cody (Celesta) Painter, Brice Beach and Holden Painter; granddaughters, Morgan Beach, Abigail Painter (Chandler), Lilli Beach and Chelsea Beach; great-grandchildren, Harper Beach, Addison Beach, Reece Beach and Karson Beach; brother, Danny Painter; sisters, Katharine Little and Donna Baker; brother-in-law, James (Renea) Baker as well as sisters-in-law, Barbara (Jake) Barnes and Carla (William) Brown.

Visitation will be held Friday September 26, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm with Brian Beach officiating. Burial will follow the service at Trinity Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Dylan Painter, Tanner Beach, Brice Beach, Michael Painter, Corey Throgmartin and William Brown. Cody Painter will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
