Jacqueline Sanford Obituary

Jacqueline Sanford of Sharon, PA passed away on April 8, 2025. She was a life-long member of Our Lady of Fatima parish in Farrell. Known to family and friends as Jackie, she graduated from Penn State University and taught religion and history at Notre Dame school in Hermitage. After retiring, she worked at King's Jewelers. Jackie was an avid reader and was partial to mystery books. She also enjoyed participating in her bowling league and her line dancing group. Jackie was a wonderful cook, and her family will always remember her "world famous" brisket and haluski at family gatherings, her "Baby Jesus birthday cake" at Christmas, and her bunny-shaped bread at Easter. She rooted excitedly for the Nittany Lions and the Penguins. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Sanford, of Sharon; her son, Jon (Mary) Sanford, of Falls Church, VA; and her grandson, Henry Sanford, also of Falls Church. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anne (Winslow) Liptock; her best friend and partner in crime, Jane Lindstedt; and the family's loyal dog, Maggie. Burial will be private.
