Mrs. Unger taught me at Southwest Jr. High - and had a profound impact on my life. Her patience and kindness in teaching me to sing are fond memories and eureka moments that I will always cherish. My condolences to all who knew and loved her. Her joy and passion for music was infectious and i think of her often although it´s been 40 plus years. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry that I missed seeing this! Jackie was a joy to work with! I subbed for her for a week when she first went to Southwest and then when I went to Southern, we worked together on All City Chorus for many, many years. She will be missed.

Mrs. Unger was my music teacher at Southwest junior high school. She was so encouraging and beautiful. My most beautiful moment was one day in her class. I started singing the national anthem with no music and She hugged me when I was done and said it was so beautiful. Best teacher ever. Heaven has gained an Angel in Mrs Unger.

My condolences to your family. Mrs. Unger was a Beautiful Woman both inside and out. She taught my sister and myself at SouthWest Junior High. However she was So much more than just our music teacher. We became very close she showed me how to stand up and prove to others that my VOICE needs to be heard! I was a shy and quiet young girl that wanted to blend in with the walls at school but she took my hand and held it until I was able to stand on my own ( junior high was scary) lol. We did kept in touch through the years on and off. To her family I would like to say Thank You for sharing such a Wonderful, Amazing person with us! May you find peace in this difficult time of lives. Sincerely , Brooke T.
