Mr. James Richard Benafield, 72, of Fork Creek Rd. Bowman, GA passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Benafield was born January 16, 1952 in Jacksonville, NC to Charles Henry Benafield, Sr. and Narcy Palmetto Crews Benafield. He was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran serving from July 6, 1970 to May 28, 1975.
He is survived by his wife Janeen Lee Nash Benafield; son: Robert Andrew Benafield of Bradenton, FL; siblings: Grady Alton Benafield, Sr. of Broadhead, WS, Ouida "Dee" Myrth and Babb of Loveland, CO, Charles Henry Benafield, Jr. of Turloc, CA, Thomas Riley Benafield, Sr. of Houston, TX and three grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several siblings.
A private memorial service will be held.
Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. James Richard Benafield.
