James Venezia Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home on Oct. 13, 2024.
James C. Venezia, age 84, husband of the late Cecilia V. "Cis" Venezia, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on September 8, 1940 in Norristown, PA, he was a son of the late Louis and Mary (Castronova) Venezia.
Mr. Venezia attended Kennedy High School in Norristown. He worked as an appliance repair service technician for Sears until his retirement after 39 years.
Mr. Venezia was a Philadelphia sports fan, and in years past he enjoyed playing basketball and lifting weights. He had an affinity for cars and enjoyed working on them. Mr. Venezia was handy and creative when it came to projects, and he could often be found tinkering on just about anything, whether it needed to be fixed or not. He enjoyed big band music and the saxophone. Most of all, though, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially visits from his grandchildren.
Mr. Venezia is survived by three children, Jacqueline Fortmann (Tom), James Venezia, and Tom Venezia (Colleen); five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lauren), Meghan (Skip), Matthew, Ashley (Ken), and Taylor; many great-grandchildren; his twin brother, Anthony Venezia (Rosalie); sister-in-law, Anne, affectionately known as Aunt Cookie; three nieces, one nephew, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Deacon David M. Kubczak. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home on Friday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to any animal rescue of your choosing. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc. Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
