James Walters Obituary

James Robert Walters, 88, of Cumberland, MD went to be with the Lord at his home October 23, 2024.
James also known as Pat was born May 18, 1936 in Cumberland, MD he was the son of the late James Olin and Sarah Audrey Walters. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother Ronnie; and his stepson Gregory Hutzell.
Pat is survived by his wife Mary Ann Walters; a son, Lamontie Walters; a step-son Kenny Walters his wife Terry; a step-daughter, Debra Belt and husband Gary; seven grandchildren and ten (soon to be eleven) great-grandchildren; brothers Gary Walters and wife Laura of Cumberland and Larry Walters and wife Ellen of Baltimore, MD; and a large extended family with numerous nieces and nephews.
James was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Oldtown, MD.
Visitation will be Monday, October 28th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A. 108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland. A funeral service will immediately follow beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Nelson officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
Burial will be in the MD Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, MD.
