Jamie Cowie Obituary

Jamie Lorain, the daughter of Jimmy and Joe Ann (Brixey) Pennock, was born August 30, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Douglas Cowie on November 29, 1964. Jamie graduated from nursing school at DMACC in 1978. She worked as an ICU nurse at Iowa Methodist for more than 27 years.
Jamie was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Michael.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Doug; son, Jeffrey (Dawn); grandchildren: J.D., Jason, Matthew, Zach, and Jesse; great-grandchild, Colby; and sister, Teri (Ben) Bishop.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Miracle League.

My heart breaks upon hearing about Jamie´s passing. As a fellow "cowgirl", I enjoyed our friendship and will miss her a great deal. Jamie was a beautiful, but tough soul and a spectacular grandmother. I will miss our conversations, laughter and her smile! Prayers to her family and friends during this difficult time.
