Janet Archambault Obituary

Sturbridge: Janet (Provost) Maska Archambault, 63, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, Feb. 11th, after a long illness.
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of the late George and Angelina (Marino) Provost. She was predeceased by the wonderful father of her children, John James Maska Sr. in 1987.
Janet is survived by her husband of 19 years, Joseph Archambault; her three children: Elizabeth Maska, John Maska Jr. and his wife Diane Maska, and Jamie Schoff and her husband Terry Schoff; her sister, Marylou Bonadies and her husband Michael Bonadies of Southbridge; and her two brothers, Michael Provost of Florida and Scott Provost of Dudley; her seven cherished grandchildren; Kaylie, Dominic, Jaelyn, Logan, Lexi, Anthony, and Mia; her two beloved great-grandchildren, Enzleigh and Colton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Janet was a stay at home mom raising her children, worked for the school system in West Brookfield doing mail, and later in life worked at St Vincent Hospital for 13 years and then at UMASS for 3 years.
Janet found joy in life's simple pleasures. Before her illness, she delighted in coaching her children in youth sports, the beach, snowmobiling, spending time outdoors, and being surrounded by family and friends. Her grandchildren were a constant source of happiness for her. One of Janet's favorite places was Wells Beach in Maine, where she found peace and comfort.
Her warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring solace to those she leaves behind.
Calling hours for Janet will be held on Sunday, March 2nd, from 2:00 to 4:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 4:00pm. Burial will be private.
