Janet (Jan) Lea Ticer passed away peacefully January 10, 2025 in Prescott, AZ.
Jan was born in 1937 in Davenport, Iowa to Marvin and Rosella Seiberling. In 1952 her family moved to Phoenix where she met the love of her life, Tom Ticer, in high school. Tom and Jan were married in 1955 and spent the next few years stationed in San Diego while Tom served in the US Navy. Four children quickly followed and soon after she found herself the wife of a cop, faithfully supporting her husband as he pursued a career in law enforcement, serving with the Phoenix Police Department and Arizona Highway Patrol. Tom and Jan settled in Prescott in 1977 where Tom finished out his career and she became active in her community and Sacred Heart Church. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her, including her children, David, Bill, Cheryl, Robert, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 brothers. Jan was preceded in death by her husband just six weeks prior to hers. They are together again. Her wonderful, generous, caring and loving spirit will remain with us forever and we thank God for the time we had with her.
Jan and her loving husband Tom will be interred together in one service at the Prescott National (Veteran's) Cemetery in Prescott on January 17th at 1:00. A celebration of life reception will follow at a separate location.
