Janice Bonner Clark – age 75 of Knoxville, Tennessee, finished her earthly race on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, entering into her eternal rest. She was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on November 19, 1949, to James Winston (J.W.) and Althea Warren Bonner.
Janice was a graduate of Lawrence County High School (LCHS Class of 1967). She gave her heart to Jesus in 1975 and never looked back. She graduated in 1994 from Johnson Bible College with a degree in Bible and Missions. She attended Park West Church, as well as Overcoming Believers Church in Knoxville. Janice will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and community leader.
Her love for the Lord and her heart for the marginalized led her and Bill to found KICKO (Knoxville Inner City Kids Outreach) in 1995. Using the training she received from her internship at Metro Ministries in Brooklyn, New York, Janice taught Sidewalk Sonday School until her health no longer allowed. Her passion to share the love of Jesus and her commitment to build real relationships with children and families in Knoxville's urban communities was amazing! She will be remembered for her love of God and people.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents J.W. and Althea Bonner formerly of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; infant brother James; maternal grandparents, Edwin and Gertrude Freeman Warren; and paternal grandparents, Jasper Allen and Annie Louella Bonner, all formerly of Bonnertown, Tennessee.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, William K. (Bill) Clark; children, Christopher (Marsha) Clark, Brandy Clark (Chris) Hardin, Michael (Candi) Clark, all of Knoxville, and Meredith Clark (Daniel) Weatherstone of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Christian (Desilee) Hardin, Skyler (Kaelynn) Clark, Lauryn Clark, Gabe Hardin, Elianna Clark, Judah Clark, Levi Clark, Josie Clark, and Rhema Clark, all of Knoxville and Ethan Weatherstone, Jay Weatherstone and Liam Weatherstone of Colorado Springs; and three (soon to be five) great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman St, Knoxville, TN 37915. A Celebration of Janice's life will follow from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with Pastors Gerald McGinnis and Daryl Arnold officiating. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM Graveside Service at Macedonia Cemetery, 4630 Holston Drive, Knoxville, TN 37924. Pallbearers: Christian Hardin, Skyler Clark, Gabe Hardin, Ethan Weatherstone, Jay Weatherstone, Liam Weatherstone, Judah Clark and Levi Clark.

My dear cousin. You knew me longer than 70 years. I always looked so forward to seeing you. We never got to take our trip to Carrollton Georgia to look at old home places and cemetaries. But you see them all now. I've got many pictures to give your kids. We'll keep an eye on Bill. We loved you so.
