Jean Glasscock Hamlet, 96, of Victoria, VA joined her family in Heaven on January 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Edison Hamlet; her parents, Willie Clell Glasscock, Sr. and Aval Taylor Glasscock; two sisters, Helen G. Holder and Marion G. Smith. She is survived by her brother, Willie C. “Billy” Glasscock, Jr. (Geraldine); a sister Dorothy G. Driskill; devoted nieces, Gayle Barnaby and Janet S. Stone; and other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Jean graduated from Victoria High School. She lived in Richmond for many years where she worked as a secretary for Reynolds Metals. She enjoyed reading, baking and visiting with family and friends. She loved all cats. Per Jean’s wishes there will be no services.
