Beverly Heslin Obituary

Beverly "Bev" Ann (Kelley) Heslin, 88, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 10, 2025, joining her beloved husband of 47 years, Griffin "Corky" Heslin, who predeceased her in 2004. Born on December 2, 1936, in Concord, MA, she was the oldest child and only daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Fortier) Kelley. They lived in Maynard, MA before moving to New Britain when she was 6 years-old. A devoted mother and loving Gramma, Bev was the proud matriarch of a loving family. She dedicated her life to nurturing her seven children and supporting their endeavors with tireless volunteer work at various organizations, particularly those connected to her children's sports and activities. She embraced her roles wholeheartedly, her proudest being "Gramma" to her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A familiar face at the Plainville Senior Center, Bev was an enthusiastic participant in community activities and volunteerism. She found joy in weekly Thursday Scrabble games and enjoyed the camaraderie of her Wii bowling teammates, forming lasting friendships through shared laughter, travels, weekly lunches and adventures. Bev was also known for her love of reading, was a proud Kansas City Chiefs "bandwagoner," and was a longtime supporter of UCONN women's basketball, celebrating in their recent championship victory with immense joy. Bev took great pleasure in birdwatching and keeping an eye on her neighborhood from her chair in the front yard, embodying the spirit of a caring neighbor and friend. Her gentle presence and unconditional love will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Griffin and his wife Donna Lee; Lee Ann Korus and her husband Ken, Teresa, Patrick, William and his wife Mariela, and Mary Louise; her grandchildren, Merissa Clauss (Ryan), Dillon Heslin, Jenna Korus (DJ), Erin Korus, Emma Heslin (Brian), Robert Politis, II, Linnea Politis, and Braylon Parker; and her two great-grandchildren, Morghan and Ryker Clauss. She also leaves her brother Ronald Kelley and his wife Sue, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
