Jeffrey Mooney Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024, at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake with Fr. John Meyer as the Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday and 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Friday, both at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Jeffrey Thomas Mooney was born April 8th, 1960 in Buffalo, MN to Thomas and Kathleen (Mavencamp) Mooney. He was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Maple Lake. He graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1978. On October 13, 1984, Jeff was united in marriage to Patty Engel. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
Jeff's life was marked by a strong work ethic. Jeff worked for many years with Annandale Sod and Annandale Sewer and Water. He recently retired after 15 years with Rachel Contracting where he was a heavy equipment operator.
Beyond his work, Jeff took immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, relishing family gatherings, Camping, ranger rides, ice fishing and visiting around bonfires with neighbors and friends. He especially enjoyed swimming and bringing the grandkids on pontoon rides.
Jeff will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Patty; children, Craig (Aimee) Mooney of Annandale, Heather (Glenn) Keller of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Ella and Hunter Mooney; parents, Tom and Kate Mooney of Maple Lake; sister, Renee (Kirk) Boraas of Chaska; brother, Greg (Julie) Mooney of Maple Lake; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins along with many dear friends.
Mike, Joe, Matt and Luke Mooney will serve as urn bearers. Mark Miller and Eric Sorensen will serve as honorary urn bearers. Krista Elsenpeter and Anne Pribyl will provide the music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
