Jennifer was born March 14, 1979, in Florissant, MO, the daughter of Steven and Patricia (Schmidgall) Monson. Her early years were spent in Missouri before her family moved to Minnesota where she attended elementary school and graduated from Willmar High School in 1997. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota-Morris, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Her passion for teaching was evident during her time in the Willmar Public School System, where she inspired countless students with her kindness and dedication.
She married her high school sweetheart, James Larson on July 29, 2000 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Jennifer embraced her role as a loving mother to their three sons, Jesse, Trent and Luke. She was proud to be a "boy mom" and eagerly took on the title of "Hockey Mom," supporting her boys in every endeavor. Family was at the heart of her life, and she created lasting memories through camping, boating, dancing and her laughter will always remain.
Jennifer's spirit shone brightly in everything she did. Running was a passion and she loved to go for a run, even running 5 miles on her wedding day. Jenny had a great love for her cats. She was known for her compassionate heart, always willing to listen and comforted many friends and family with heart-to-heart conversations.
She is survived by her husband, James; sons, Jesse, Trent and Luke; parents, Steven and Patricia Monson of Burnsville; brother, Matt Monson of Willmar, mother-in-law, Mavis Larson of Willmar and in-laws, Gordon (Diane) Larson of Grove City, Dale (Nan) Larson of Balaton and Sherry Jean Larson of Willmar. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shari Lyn Monson and father-in-law, Donald Larson.
Jennifer had an unwavering faith in her Savior, Lord, Jesus Christ, and was welcomed home by his open arms. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion for others. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She is now dancing and running in the clouds.
