Jerardo Castillo-Vázquez, de 60 años y residente de Northfield, falleció el martes 28 de octubre de 2025 en su domicilio.
Jerardo nació el 11 de mayo de 1965 en Monterrey, México, hijo de Jesús Castillo y Herminia Vázquez.
Jerardo trabajó como albañil en Monterrey antes de emigrar a los Estados Unidos hace veinte años. Comenzó a trabajar para Poly-Tex. Jerardo era un hombre trabajador y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a quienes lo rodeaban. Amaba a su familia y fue un padre y abuelo maravilloso. Siempre estuvo presente cuando lo necesitaban.
A Jerardo le sobreviven su esposa, Genoveva García Guerrero; sus hijos, Claudia Lisseth Castillo, Jesús Gerardo Castillo y Francisco Javier Castillo; sus nietos, Daleyza Castillo, Xavier Castillo, Osmar Castillo, Briseidi Castillo, Leyla Vázquez, Edgar Jesús Moreno y Lukas Moreno; y sus bisnietas, Antonela Castillo y Madison Castillo. y sus hermanos Miguel Ángel Castillo, César Castillo, Norma Castillo, Araceli Castillo, Enedelia Castillo, Laura Castillo, Erica Castillo y Carmen Castillo.
El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 30 de octubre de 2025, de 5:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m., en la Funeraria Bierman, Benson & Langehough, ubicada en 1316 Division Street South, Northfield, Minnesota. El sepelio se realizará posteriormente en Monterrey, México.

Jerardo Castillo-Vazquez, 60 of Northfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at home.
Jerardo was born on May 11, 1965 in Monterrey, Mexico to parents Jesus Castillo and Herminia Vazquez.
Jerardo worked as a mason in Monterrey before coming to the United States twenty years ago. He started working for Poly-Tex. Jerardo was a hard worker and helpful to those around him. He loved his family and was a wonderful father and grandfather. He was there for them when they needed him.
Jerardo is survived by his wife, Genoveva Garcia Guerrero; Children; children, Claudia Lisseth Castillo, Jesus Gerardo Castillo and Fransisco Javier Castillo; grandchildren, Daleyza Castillo, Xavier Castillo, Osmar Castillo, Briseidi Castillo, Leyla Vazquez, Edgar Jesus Moreno and Lukas Moreno; great-grandchildren, Antonela Castillo and Madison Castillo; and siblings, Miguel Angel Castillo, Cesar Castillo, Norma Castillo, Araceli Castillo, Enedelia Castilllo, Laura Castillo, Erica Castillo and Carmen Castillo.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home, 1316 Divsion Street South, Northfield, MN. Interment will be at a later date in Monterrey, Mexico.
