Jerry Clayton Frye, 83, of Charles Town, WV passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2025 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville, WV.
Jerry was born Oct. 24, 1941 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Carl Fry and Gertrude Corder Fry.
Jerry was employed for 36 years with Iron Gate Steel as a Fabricator Designer.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He was a member of the CB Clubs, Fishing Clubs, loved fishing, hunting clubs.
He was an avid fisherman, avid in photography and was a member of the Issac Walton Club.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Fields Frye; daughters, Melissa Custer, of Summit Point, WV, Gina Frye (David Glascock) of Brandon, FL; son, Scott Frye (Sasha Pearrell) of Inwood, WV; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; sister, Darlene Hostler and brother, Joseph Frye.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18th at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, WV with Pastor Bob Glascock officiating.
Interment will be private.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
