Jesus es el hijo de Jesus Celestino Lopez Aguilar y Luz Elena Porras Perez. Era el menor de 7 hermanos y pasó la mayor parte de su infancia en México antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos. En los últimos años de su infancia y en su edad adulta, vivió en Houston, Texas, con su madre y sus hermanos. Asistió a la Escuela Secundaria Edison y a la Escuela Preparatoria Milby. En la primavera del 1994 se casó con el amor de su vida, Ofelia Samaniego Fernandez, y luego tendrían dos hijos, Beatriz Andrea Kuglen y Jesse James Fernandez. Jesus pasó la mayor parte de su carrera en la industria hotelera y muchos lo conocían como el mejor mesero del mundo. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia, asistir a la iglesia, comer sus comidas favoritas, jugar con su nietecita, ver eventos deportivos y ver sus programas de televisión favoritos. Lo más precioso para Jesus fue su fe en Dios.
Jesus es amado y será extrañado tremendamente por su esposa, su hija, su hijo, su yerno, su nietecita, su futura familia/generaciones, familiares y amigos.
