Jimmy Kellum Obituary

Jimmy Wilson Kellum, Jr. (age 58), affectionately known as "Little Jim," entered into heaven on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmy was born on June 4th, 1966, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, the only child of Jimmy and Earline ("Misty") Kellum. He graduated from White Oak High School and was the proud owner of Little Jim's Landscaping. Not only did Jimmy enjoy being outside professionally, but also personally, enjoying fishing, boating, and hunting in his free time. He was also quite the cook and grill-master, who loved grilling delicious eats at family get togethers, often alongside his dad, Big Jim. More than anything, he loved his life surrounded by his family on Misty's Lane. On any given day it was not uncommon to see Little Jim enjoying a ride on his lawn mower or golf cart, his many fur-friends in tow, making sure all was well on his family's land.
Jimmy was predeceased by his father, Jimmy Wilson Kellum, who entered into heaven exactly 8 months to the day prior to Little Jim's arrival. We know he was also greeted by his grandparents, Stephen and Wanda Kellum, his precious Irish Setter, Ruby, and numerous other loved ones who went before him.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Raegan Kellum Pridgen (Hunter) and Stephen Wilson Kellum (Tiffanie), his mother, Earline (Misty) Kellum, his grandson, Camden Wilson Kellum, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and of course his much-loved furry family members: Jake, Baby Girl, Angel, Daisy, Sumi, Roo Roo, and Special K.
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Tuesday, December 31st at 11:00am at Jones Funeral Home (303 Chaney Avenue, Jacksonville). A graveside service will immediately follow at the Kellum Family Cemetery, located off of Elwood Road in Jacksonville. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, from 5:00-7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Little Jim's memory to the Onslow County Animal Shelter (244 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville NC 28540).
