Jack Johnston Obituary
Jack Rutherford Johnston, Sr. , 92 of Eutaw, passed away April 18, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Union Christian Church Cemetery with Jem Blair officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the fellowship hall of Union Christian Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Aloma S. Johnston, son; Jack Rutherford "Rusty" Johnston, Jr., brother; Jim Johnston, and his parents; R.O. and Grace Johnston.
Survivors include his daughter; Angela J. Porter and stepdaughter; Aimee Shouse (Bill), stepson; Jem Blair (Kelli), daughter-in-law; Stephanie Johnston, sister-in-law; Greta Bambarger, grandchildren; Kelly Johnston Rhodes (Jeff), Jamiee Bules (Neil), Regan Broussard, Laura Lee Spencer Potts (Caleb), great granddaughter; Addison Grace Cook, a host of niece’s and nephews and special care givers; Clarine Daniels, and Angela Lewis.
Jack was a proud Navy Veteran. After his service, he worked as a cattle farmer and then in sales at Greene Beverage. Jack enjoyed yard work, fishing, and golfing.
Honorary pallbearers are his Golf Buddies.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or Union Christian Church.
