Joanna Nail Obituary

Joanna "Jo" Strode Nail

Joanna "Jo" Nail was born Mary Joanna Strode in Kansas City, Missouri September 27, 1938. She was a long-time resident of Albuquerque since 1966 and died October 12, 2024.

Joanna is survived by her spouse of nearly 60 yrs, George Nail of Albuquerque; children, George "Cliff" Nail and wife Patricia "Trish" Nail (deceased), Christopher "Chris" Nail and wife Dina Nail; grandchildren, George "Rusty" Nail, Elizabeth "Beth" Nail, and Nathan Nail; brother, James D. Strode Jr. and wife Susan Strode. Joanna was preceded in death by her father J. Donald Strode and mother Irene Strode.

Joanna was a Christian who had accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior at a young age. She was a long-time member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she engaged in many activities including covenant group, choir, and bible studies.

Joanna will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her kindness and compassion she showed others, and her vibrant social life. One of her favorite things to do was to dress up and go to parties or special events.

Joanna's memorial service will be held on November 11th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 8600 Academy Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church Food Pantry. Please visit our online guestbook for Joanna Nail at www.FrenchFunerals.com.
