Jody Shelby Sumrall, 60, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Jody was born in Memphis on March 27, 1963, to Joseph D. and Merrill Mansell Cashion. She grew up in Memphis and graduated high school in Pittsburg, PA. On June 6, 1987, she married Tim Sumrall, and she worked as a preschool teacher for 20 years helping to mold many young lives. She enjoyed going to the Gilmore Wellness Center where she made many friends. She loved to keep her hummingbirds fed and took great care of her dogs who she referred to as “The Boys,” Rico, Jaxx, and Ole Man. She was member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ.
