Joe Wilson Obituary

Joe E. Wilson, born on April 28, 1933, passed away on January 26, 2025, surrounded by family at the age of 91. Joe embodied hard work, loyalty, and passion throughout his life.
Joe leaves behind his son, Mark (Jill) Wilson, and daughter-in-law, Gloria Wilson. He was the cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Neil) Rothfuss, Stacy Wilson, Allison (Will) Clem, Dylan (Lauren) Wilson, and Reece Wilson, as well as his five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Corinne (nee Bredow) Wilson, his beloved son, David Wilson, as well as his parents, Marshall and Virgie (nee Burleson) Wilson.
Joe proudly served his country as an air force veteran, holding dear the values of service and sacrifice. A dedicated member of the United Auto Workers, Joe worked for Ford Motors for 40 years, exemplifying commitment and excellence in his career. He was deeply passionate about his views, never hesitating to share his thoughts as an enthusiastic advocate for what he believed to be right. Above all, Joe was known for his dedication to his country and was the embodiment of a true patriot. Rest in peace, Joe. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know you.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 4pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. (3blks. E. of Van Dyke) in Utica.
