"Chicken Bone"
On February 5, 2025, John W. Brown 89, of Trenton, New Jersey departed this earthly life for his heavenly home at Cooper Medical Center in Camden, NJ, surrounded by loving family.
John was born on September 9, 1935, in Norway, South Carolina to the late Johnnie O. Brown and the late Cleola Hart-Brown. He was educated in the Hightstown Public School System. He retired from both General Motors and Trane.
John loved bowling and was an avid football fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His number one hobby was his love for motorcycles. Through his love for motorcycles, he was the founder and President of Wheels of Fire from 1973 until 1979. On July 8, 1979, he joined Cycle Kings, Trenton, New Jersey Chapter. Over his 46 years as a member of Cycle King "Chicken Bone" as he was affectionately called throughout the Tri-city area was honored to hold the positions of Secretary and Road Captain for many years.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers Lee G. Brown, Collis F. Brown, and Purvis Brown; Sister, Carlether Brown and Children, Patricia C. Brown, Cynthia Y. Brown, and Andrew Brown. He leaves to cherish his life and legacy, his loving wife Margaret C. Brown, sons Brian Hearns (Kristina), Jon Brown (Ieshia), John Brown, Jr., and Collis Brown, two special Godchildren Tanya Anderson and Harold Fowler (Flippo), and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and the community at large.
