John Daniel Caudill, Sr., 71, of Bluefield, WV, passed Tuesday August 6, 2024, at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital.
Born May 10, 1953, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Clifton H. and Nettie Baber Caudill. John retired from Andy Clark Ford after 38 years in 2008, and he also volunteered for Bluefield Rescue Squad for 25 years. He was also a member of Cumberland Road Church of God.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Edie Pierce.
Those left to cherish John's memory, are his wife, Dorothy Peak Caudill; son, John Daniel Caudill, Jr. and fiancé Amy; daughter, Kimberly Dawn Basham and husband Eric; sisters, Diana Bowling and husband Tim, Clara Akers and late husband, Ronald, Geneva Looney husband Junior, and Mary Woody and late husband Bobby, Vickie Carosi and husband Mark ; grandchildren, Justin T. Caudill, Alexus Basham, Annie Caudill, Payton Basham, and Riley Caudill; and great grandchild, Finley Caudill.
Funeral Services will be held, Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Barnette and Rev. Travis Helmandollar officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Keith Boyd, Eric Thompson, Justin Caudill, Austin Emerson, JT Schuhmann, and Alexander Ricker serving as pallbearers.
A visitation will be held prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.
