John Lohr Kessler III, 71, of Owensboro passed away Monday, December 2, 2024. The Owensboro native was born November 29, 1953, to the late John Lohr Kessler Jr. and Betty Baldwin Kessler. John graduated from Owensboro High School, class of 1971. He was a very bright man, who had a clever and undeniable wit. Creative and artistic with a great sense of humor, who was loved by so many and will forever be missed by his family and loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory include two siblings; his sister, Janet Kessler Karain of The Woodlands, Texas and his brother, Mark LaRue Kessler of Wilmington, N. Carolina; four wonderful nieces and nephews, Dan Kessler Karain, Justine Karain Reed, Kessler Karain, and Kristiane Karain, whom he spent 20 years of his life within Houston, Texas.
There will be a private burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Wendell Foster Center, 815 Triplett Street Owensboro, KY 42303 and St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter, 1001 West Seventh Street Owensboro, KY 42301.
