John Morgan Obituary

John T. Morgan Jr. of Navarre, FL went to be with his Father on March 26, 2025. John's passion was electronics, and he graduated from Auburn University as an electrical engineer in 1966. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. During his time at Auburn, he had the opportunity to co-op with Vitro and participated along with his father in Operation Dominic. Stationed in Hawaii, they monitored the effects of an atmospheric nuclear test. In 1971 John started his own business, Morgan Consulting, Inc., in Fort Walton Beach to provide technical consulting to defense contractors. For the next 45 years, the company designed and manufactured equipment for many of the service branches and government agencies as well as numerous non-governmental entities. Entering the commercial arena, the company developed equipment to replace call-center switchboards with a distributed computer system over a local area network. John was a President of the Fort Walton Beach Rotary Club and a Senior Member of IEEE. He also served on the Board of Wright Baptist Church. John is survived by his wife Constantina (Dudek), son Matthew (Megan) and grandson Jonathan, daughter Bonnie Kane (Michael) and grandchildren Erin and David. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and John Sr., his sister, Joan and his son John Ill. Funeral services will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends for visitation at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to one of John's preferred charities, Tunnel to Towers or St. Jude’s.
