John N. Walker, 71, Remembered with Love
John N. Walker, 71, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey, John was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and cherished friend and colleague to many.
Throughout his life, John was known for his sense of humor, dry wit, and love for his family. He dedicated his 50-year career to the elevator industry, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to music, playing the drums, watching science fiction movies, anything astronomy-related, and playing fetch with his beloved Siamese Cat Wilson.
John is survived by his wife Kathy Murach Walker, his five children: Jenna Wilmington (Sean) Christine Wilcox (Joshua) Michael Walker, Sean Walker, and Lauren Smith (Ryan) and his ten grandchildren: Kaylee, Evan, James, Colby, Emma, Samantha, Reegan, Alexandra, Makenna, and Tristen, and his brothers Scott Walker (Laura) and Douglas Walker, all who will continue to honor his legacy by cherishing the memories they have with him.
A Graveside Service will be held on March 1, 2025, at 1:30pm at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, New Jersey to celebrate John's life.
John will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
