Johnnie Lee Winborne of Dublin, Virginia, passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 73. Johnnie was born on September 17, 1951, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, to Isiah and Daisy Miller Winborne.
Survivors include Venita Brown-Winborne, wife of 14 years. Sons: Kelvin Winborne, Phoenixville, PA, and Kenneth Winborne, Frackville, PA. Brothers: Gregory Winborne (Cassandra) Middletown, CT, Stephen Winborne (Renee) Meriden, CT, and Corey Winborne, Meriden, CT. Sisters: Stephanie Winborne-Shell, Middletown, CT and Shirley Winborne-Brown, Christiansburg, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Johnnie's passions were cooking, gardening, home improvement and reading. He was an expert at building computers, and was once employed as a Computer Specialist, by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 9th at 11:00 am at Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West Street in Middletown followed by a graveside service at 12:30 pm in Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
