Joseph "Joe" Schroeder, Jr. Obituary

Rev. Joseph William Schroeder, Jr., "Joe", age 82, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on October 24, 2025. He was born on November 6, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Joseph and Mabel Schroeder.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years Barbara Schroeder; sons, David Schroeder (Sandy Rothwell), Don Schroeder (Ashley); daughter, Lisa Sartain (Chad); granddaughters, Sarah Ann, Shelby, Laura Beth, Mikaila, Mariah, Makenna and Shaunie grandsons Garrett and Dakota.

Joe graduated from The University of Miami in 1965, worked for the State of Florida Job Services for 32 years before retiring to join the Ministry. He obtained his Masters of Divinity from SEBTS in 2001 and went to Pastor churches in Michigan, Virginia and Florida where he retired from Lake Rousseau Baptist Church in 2018.

Joe was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, he never met a stranger and had a passion for telling people about Jesus. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

A Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Baptist Church with visitation an hour prior.
