Joseph W. Skubel, Jr., 42 of Ringtown passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning, October 21, 2025 in his home.
Born in Pottsville on December 13, 1982, he was the son of Mary C. (Kowalski) Skubel of Ringtown and the late Joseph W. Skubel, Sr.
He was a 2001 graduate of North Schuylkill Jr./Sr. High School.
Joe was employed as a union pipefitter with UA Local 524 Plumbers, Pipefitters, HVAC's, Scranton.
On May 15, 2010 in Saint Casimir Church, Shenandoah, he married the former Samantha Redanauer who survives.
He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah and the Park Crest Fish & Game Protective Association, Rattlin Run, Ringtown.
Joe was an avid Penn State and Carolina Panthers football fan. Above all else, he cherished his family; he was a devoted husband and father. He lived for his girls; he especially enjoyed coaching their basketball teams, watching their soccer games and taking them fishing.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Mary C. Skubel and his wife of fifteen years, Samantha Skubel are his two cherished daughters, Sophia and Anne Skubel both at home; his sister, Jessica McKay with her husband, George and their son, Joe’s nephew and godson, Joseph all of Suffolk, VA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Nancy Weber of Ringtown; aunts, uncles, additional nephews, nieces, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:30 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Casimir’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Divine Mercy Church, Shenandoah.
