Joseph James Sladek, of Broomall PA (long time resident of Pine Hill NJ) passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024.
Joseph James Sladek was the son of the late Frank Victor and Mary (Barcay) Sladek in Philadelphia PA.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW, served with the US Navy aboard the USS DeMoines, member of the Teamsters (Retired), Volunteer Fireman of the Eagle Fire Company in Pine Hill NJ, and donated to St. Judes.
Beloved husband of the late Michelina Sladek. He is survived by his 4 children; Theresa Denight (Robert), David Sladek (Ann Marie Trace), Joseph Sladek, and Karen Hughes (Mike). 3 Stepsons; Frank Scarpato (Nancy), Sal Scarpato (Renate) and Ron Scarpato. Grandfather to Michelle Rivera (Dan), Kelly Schmidt (Val), David Sladek, Zachary Sladek, Joe Conover, Brian Lemoine, Nicole Hughes and Jacquelyn Bowman (Kaz). Step Grandfather to Nicholas Scarpato (Molly) and Uncle of Angelina Hess (Rich), 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Predeceased by his Granddaughter, Bridget Hughes, his siblings; Al Sladek, Eleanor Southerland, Frank Sladek, and Charlie Sladek.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, 10am to 11am, and service at the O'Leary Funeral Home LTD located at 640 E. Springfield Road Springfield PA 19064. Interment New St Mary Cemetery 515 W Browning Rd Bellmawr, NJ 08031
