Sorrow fills our hearts with profound grief as we mourn the passing of our beloved Mother and Sister, Joyce Luvilla Ivey James Snow on October 3, 2024 at 6:30 am in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born Joyce Luvilla Ivey to the parentage of the late Geraldine and Boyd S. Ivey of Knoxville, Tennessee on January 14, 1945.
She is survived by her loving daughter Dr. Joy Lynne James-Foster (son in law Jerry Foster), Grandchildren Kennedy James-Foster (Victoria), Garrison and Campbell Foster; Son Darrell James, Grandson Winston James; and pre deceased son Joseph (Joey) James; Sisters Felicia Hoehne, Dr. Barbara Lynne Ivey Yarn (Brother in law Tyrone Yarn) Niece Dr. Tiffany Mitchell and Nephew Roan Ivey Yarn, Beloved Aunt Wilma Kidd, she also leaves behind a host of beloved cousins, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Our hearts are heavy with the pain but she will remain in our hearts, minds and souls today and always.
Plans for a celebration of life are in progress to be announced at a later date.
