Juanita Green Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Albritten's Funeral Service - Dawson on Oct. 2, 2024.
A Time to Be Born:
Mother Juanita Green was born in Terrell County, Dawson, Georgia, on September 2, 1955, to the late Mary Green and the late Mack Nathan. "Ba-Ba," as she was known to her family and friends, was a very kind and loving person who would give her last if she knew you needed it. Whenever you saw her, she always had a smile on her face. Even though she moved in silence, her actions spoke fondly.
A Time to Plant:
The vines of her life were rooted in the red clay of Terrell County, where she received her education in the public school system of Terrell County. Additionally, she began her Christian journey in Terrell County as well.
A Time to Embrace:
At an early age, Juanita confessed her love for Christ at St. Matthew C.M.E. Church. In later years. She became a faithful member of Trials of Faith in Vienna, Georgia, under the leadership and guidance of the late Prophetess Kathey L. Griffin. She served under her leadership for over forty years. She later united with Greater Deliverance Faith Ministries, Dawson, Georgia, under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Leonard, Sr., where she served as a faithful mother, until her death.
A Time to Die:
The final call of God to welcome His faithful servant home was received by Juanita on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Wilson Hospice House, Albany, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Johnson, and brother-in-law, Horace Walton.
A Time of Peace:
The legacy of her life will always remain etched upon the hearts and minds of her family, to include: her loving son, Derrick Gibson (Lashonda) of Dallas, TX; one granddaughter, Jasmine Johnson of Atlanta, GA; four goddaughters, Mattie Anderson of Albany, GA, Shorale Ford of Dawson, GA, Shanbrecca Williams of Albany, GA, and Amber Ford of Dawson, GA; eight sisters, Charlie Mae Walton of Dawson, GA, Joyce Green of Marietta, GA, Mary Dell Green of Dawson, GA, Annie Mae Johnson, Linda Molden, Bertha Clark, and Ollie Harden, all of Dawson, GA, and Edna Montague of Tampa, FL; brothers, Jerome (Eddie) Williams of Albany, GA, Lenny Green and Jack Johnson, both of Dawson, GA, William Montague, Jimmy Griffin (Cordelia), and Robert Griffin, all of Vienna, GA, and Larry Cobb and Casey Cobb, both of AR; devoted niece, Monica (Eric) Sims of Dawson, GA; devoted nephew, Reginald (Cynthia) Green of Dallas, TX; very special and close friends, Dianne King, Johnnie Hicks, Allene Jones, and Ernestine Harvey; a longtime friend, Eric Gibson of East Point, GA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends.
