It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Judd Merritt Mills, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Judd was born in Marion, OH, and his life's journey came to a peaceful end in Washington, DC.
Judd was born to parents John and Loma Mills, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. He grew up alongside his brothers Kim Mills and Craig Mills, forming bonds that would last a lifetime. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his brother Kim.
Judd's early years were spent in Marion, where he attended Green Camp High School. He later furthered his education at Bowling Green University, making lifelong friends and memories along the way. He was a proud member of Sigma Nu fraternity.
A man of many interests, Judd's career was as varied as it was storied. He served in the Army before embarking on a diverse professional journey. From being a stockbroker to a train conductor, and even working with the MD State Lottery, Judd eventually retired from the US Postal Service.
Judd was a one-of-a-kind man who left an impression wherever he went. His big personality made him a favorite among friends and family, and his passion for researching the stock market and handicapping horse racing was well-known.
He is survived by daughters, Laurel Mills and Jennifer Seiler, and his beloved grandchildren: Nicholas Burke, Jake Burke, Josie Burke, Hannah Seiler, and Oliver Seiler. His brother Craig Mills also survives him.
The family takes solace in knowing that Judd's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. His charismatic presence, his stories, and his life will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service to celebrate Judd's remarkable life will be held in his hometown of Marion, OH. Services will be held in the fall, allowing for a season of reflection and remembrance.
Judd Merritt Mills, will be profoundly missed. His memory will forever be a guiding light in the lives of his family and friends.
